"SMOOTHIN'" is a lyrical psychedelic groove from Western North Carolina producer, musician & singer-songwriter I'ma Tim Robinson's 2021 outfit, Dreads For Brains. The band consisted of I'ma Tim Robinson on vocals and guitar, Michael Tao on bass, Steven Poteat on electric guitar, Keith Held on hand drums & percussion, interchanging drummers, and Danver Robinson and Bex Sylvia on background vocals. "Smoothin'" was written by I'ma Tim Robinson and the songs reflect the stories of his life and what he's been through. Bassist Michael Tao's wealth of musical knowledge and eventual partnership with Tim evolved the songs and brought a united sound to Dreads For Brains. "SMOOTHIN'" holds you in the pocket and gives you hints of hip-hop, folk, reggae, roots and rock. Keep groovin', keep smoothin'...
